VRT ticket for File:Jalen Rose at the University of Michigan.jpg[edit]
Hi, I’m wondering how reliable the VRT ticket for uploads by Crankoline (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter log) is. Now, I don’t doubt that the user represents Jalen Rose/Roc Nation Sports and most of their uploads are fine. But I don’t know that they actually own the rights to older photographs.
For example, I found File:Jalen Rose at the University of Michigan.jpg elsewhere online (though fortunately licensed CC-By). I’m guessing File:Jalen Rose with the Indiana Pacers.jpg, might be a similar case. The photo was taken in 2000, before the Roc Nation sports management firm existed and Rose was a media personality with a social media team, so it seems likely that it’s a media photo and doesn’t belong to the uploader. Does the VRT ticket contain information about the photograph’s origins? Adeletron 3030 (talk) 05:11, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
